Diese Etappe beginnt im Umfeld des weitläufigen Zisterzienserklosters Stift Zwettl, das zu den großen Kunstschätzen Mitteleuropas zählt. Sie verlassen nun den Kamp, um den nächsten der drei Flüsse, die für die Namensgebung dieses Radweges verantwortlich sind, zu begleiten - die Thaya. 

Diese führt Sie durch weite Strecken des nördlichen Waldviertels.
