The route is suitable for families, but not for pushchairs. A short stretch of the route runs alongside a main road (official hiking route, marked in yellow).
Tip/Fun-Fact: There are around 23 different types of meadow in the BPWW. They provide an invaluable habitat for specific plant and animal species. Their conservation and management are therefore especially important for nature conservation and species protection.
We will start at the railway station in Neulengbach, and cross Rathausplatz to Kirchenplatz, before heading along Ulmenhofstrasse (on the right) to Almersbergstrasse. We will head uphill to Buchberggasse and follow the signs to Buchberg. On the way back, we will follow the blue hiking route (on the right) and keep to the paved road. After the first few houses, we will take a sharp right towards Neulengbach (red route). Via Grillenhofstrasse, Almersbergstrasse, Austrasse and Egon-Schiele- Strasse, we will head towards Neulengbach Castle, and after a slight ascent, turn left onto Weinheberstrasse. We will continue uphill, along Postgasse, and back to Rathausplatz
and the railway station.
