Ausgehend vom idyllischen Ötscherdorf Lackenhof folgen Sie dem markierten Wanderweg Nr. 4/4b-16 über den Riffelsattel weiter durch die wildromatischen „Türndlmäuer“ zur Feldwiesalm. Hier empfiehlt sich die Einkehr in der Hütte um frische Energie zu tanken. Nach der Rast führt der Weg weiter Richtung Gemeindealpe, Eiserner Herrgott und Brunnsteinalm. Auf steinigem Weg bergab, vorbei am Erlaufursprung durch den Steinbachgraben hinaus zum Lindenhof, finden Sie den Gasthof Seewirt am Erlaufsee.

Die Feldwiesalm ist von Mitte Juni bis Mitte September bewirtschaftet. Das Sennerehepaar verpflegt Wanderer mit Speis und Trank - man kann sogar Quartier beziehen.

Erlaufsee, Gasthof Seewirt

Turn-by-turn directions

Start at 8 A.m., ascent with the chair lift to the Ötscher shelter (12 min). On the hiking trail no. 4 (red mark) descend to the Riffelsattel (mountain saddle), on the trail no. 4b continue towards the small Ötscher (mountain) past the "Steinernen Mandl" (rocks). Shortly after the stone Mandl branch off to the left and onto the hiking trail no. 16 towards "Türndlmäuer". In front of the Hochkogel keep to the right and continue around the Mittereckkogel past the water source to reach a forest road. Follow the forest road approx. 10-15 min along and after a sharp right-bend turn left into the forest and begin the ascent in the direction of the Jägerberg. In the Valley between the Jägerberg and the Sagerkogel continue downhill over glades to the "Feldwies". Follow the forest road left into the forest and continue along past the mountain gate to the already visible Halterhütte (cabin) of the Feldwiesalm. After the lunch stop, setting off again at approximately 12: 30 in the direction of Gemeindealpe (trail marking in red-blue), follow the forest trail along the forest taking the in the right direction forest road (blue markings). After about 100 m exit left onto a sidewalk in the direction of the Eiserner Herrgott und Brunnsteinalm (cabin). At the crossroads, take a left in direction of the Erlaufsee (lake) (approx. 5 km, 1 ¾ hours to the bus stop at the hotel Seewirt) or right across the farm „Höchbauer“ (1255 m above sea level) in the direction Zellerrain (approx. 2 km, 3/4 hours, until the bus stop at the Zellerrainwirt (inn)). From the junction in front the Brunnsteinalm (cabin) through the Sattelmulde (saddle rift) to the forest road. On the forest road cross and by keeping to the right continue downwards into the woods and by the following fork turn right (blue-red markings) and on a rocky road steeply descend to the dilapidated Engleitenalm (cabin) at the Grubenmauer (mountain wall). Follow through the gap to the road at the former Schwaigeralm (cabin) and take the sidewalk downhill to the clearing of the former Rohrbacher Alm (cabin). Move past the Erlaufsprung through Steinbachgraben (ditch) to the Lindenhof (farm), and continue right past the Erlauf to the Hotel Seehof, and to the bus stop.
